What is a Doula?
A doula provides professional support to new and expectant parents before, during and after birth, and in the early postpartum period. A doula supports the birth parent, as well as the partner, before and after childbirth to help achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible. Doulas create a relaxing environment and positive impact on the well-being of the entire family. A few examples of a doulas care may include serving as a soothing voice, using relaxation techniques and breathing exercises, offering advice on comfortable labour positions and breast feeding support.
Each practise is customized to meet each client’s individual needs. It is important to research and find the best fit for you and your family!
